CliniClue Search View

The CliniClue Search frame allows text based searches of SNOMED CT content.

Searches start and refresh automatically as words or phrases are typed into the search frame.

In the standard 'flat list' search view the matches

Search results can be displayed as a 'flat list' (see above) or as 'nested list' (see below). Both views contain the same matches. The difference is that in the 'nested list' matching terms are organised in a hierarchical layout based on subtype relationships between the associated concepts. The result is a shorter initial list arranged in a way that reflects the axes of the SNOMED CT subtype hierarchy.

For an explanation of the icons shown in this frame see Description icon key.

The search mode can be changed using the drop-down list to match identical terms, partial phrase matches or the default setting of 'Words and Order'

A progress view is displayed during prolonged searches and the pause button can be pressed to halt the search.

If a search is paused the resume button can be clicked to continue the search.

Frequently used hierarchy based search restrictions

The results of the search can be modified by applying a hierarchical restriction or a constraint. These settings can be applied from the Search toolbar at the top of the Search frame. The settings can be viewed and edited in the constraints frame and constraints window.
