Creating a Demo Validation Key

The following instructions explain how to create a temporary 'Demo' validation key which is valid for between 4 and 7 days. This may be necessary if for any reason you are unable to register for a validation key.

To create and use a temporary validation key:

  1. Load the 'CliniClue Validation form' so that the validation key can be entered. The 'CliniClue Validation form' is loaded by
    • Starting CliniClue Xplore on a system which does not have an up-to-date validation key; or
    • Using CliniClue Xplore menu option Help > Licence review' and then clicking the Renew Licence button.
    When reviewing a previous registration the current details are shown first.

  2. Click Renew Licence and the next options are displayed.
    • Register online for a Validation Key - Opens a web browser in a separate window and allows you to obtaining aValidation Key. After this the same form is displayed allowing you to choose one of the following options.
    • Enter a Validation Key - Takes you to the options for entering a key. See applying a Validation Key.
    • Create a temporary Demo Key - Creates a temporary key that you can use to access CliniClue if you are unable to register immediately. See details below


  3. To create a temporary Demo Key choose this option and click next Next
  4. In the next dialog you are required to type four characters specified in the prompt.

  5. After typing the four characters requested by the prompt you must confirm acceptance of the CliniClue licence conditions by checking the relevant box before pressing the Ok button.

  6. Click the 'Ok' button to create your Demo Key.

  7. You are now ready to use the CliniClue Xplore Browser. You must register and enter a Validation Key as soon as possible to avoid the need to repeatedly create temporary Demo Keys.
